Art By Gary Harbour

Gary's Scrimshaw is all hand-etched. No Machinery is used in the art process. He works on ivory such as mastadon and mammoth. He does not deal with anyone who may illegally harvest ivory. He also creates scrimshaw in color and black and white on bone stag.

Gary is one of the few scrimshanders in the world able to work on the hard surface of mother-of pearl.

Each piece is one of a kind.

Gary is a national award-winning artist who got his start as a young child and encouragement from Norman Rockwell who gifted him with his first set of oil paints.
